⚠️ Signs You May Need This Service
Why Service Intervals Are Different in Dubai
Manufacturer service intervals are calculated for average conditions — typically a moderate climate, mixed driving and relatively clean air. None of these apply to Dubai. The extreme heat, dusty air and heavy traffic mean your car's oil, filters and fluids degrade faster here than the maintenance booklet assumes. Following European or American service intervals in Dubai means your car is running on degraded oil and clogged filters for a significant portion of every interval.
Synthetic oil is strongly recommended for Dubai conditions. While more expensive than mineral oil, it maintains its viscosity and lubricating properties at high temperatures far better, and it resists oxidation over longer periods. The cost difference between synthetic and mineral oil per service is typically AED 80–120 — a trivial amount compared to the repair cost of an engine that's been run on degraded lubricant.
Air filters in Dubai deserve special attention. A standard paper element air filter can be completely blocked within 10,000 km in dusty conditions — sometimes less after a sandstorm season. A blocked air filter increases fuel consumption, reduces power and causes the engine management system to run rich to compensate. We always check air filter condition at every service visit, regardless of the service type booked.
Our service packages are designed around real Dubai driving conditions, not European schedules. Each package includes a 30-point inspection that checks items most drivers never think about — brake fluid moisture, battery load capacity, tyre pressure and tread depth, all drive belt conditions — so you leave knowing the full picture, not just that the oil's been changed.
How We Diagnose & Fix the Problem
We record your vehicle's mileage, check the service history (if available) and perform a quick walkaround to note any pre-existing condition before work begins.
Our technicians work through a standardised 30-point checklist covering engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, tyres, electrics, AC and lights. Every point is marked pass, advisory or fail.
We change engine oil and filter, check and top up all other fluids, and replace air and cabin filters if required. All work uses products meeting or exceeding manufacturer specification.
We walk you through the inspection results — what was done, what's in good shape, and what needs attention in the next service or soon. We never recommend work that isn't needed.
A second technician verifies the completed work before the car is returned. We reset service reminder lights and update your service record before you drive away.

Servicing Done Properly, Not Just Quickly
Manufacturer Schedule
We follow the exact service intervals and checklist your car manufacturer specifies — not a generic one-size-fits-all list. Your service history stays accurate and your warranty remains valid.
Genuine & OEM Parts
Every filter, fluid and component we replace meets OEM specifications. We never substitute cheap aftermarket parts that degrade faster or void your cover.
Fleet Programmes Available
Running 5 or more vehicles? We offer tailored fleet service agreements with priority scheduling, consolidated invoicing, and a dedicated service contact for your business.
Service Package Pricing in Dubai — What to Expect
A basic service — engine oil, oil filter and safety check — for a standard Japanese or Korean car (Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia) typically costs AED 200–400 at FixHive, depending on the oil specification required. For European cars requiring specific fully synthetic oil (BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen), expect AED 350–600 due to higher-specification oil requirements. These prices include a multi-point inspection so you leave knowing the current state of your car, not just a fresh oil filter.
A full service — adding air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs (where applicable) and a more thorough inspection — runs AED 500–1,000 for Japanese cars and AED 700–1,400 for European models. A major service at the equivalent main dealer is typically 60–90% more expensive for the same scope of work and parts quality. The difference is overhead and brand margin — not better workmanship or superior parts.
Scheduled maintenance based on manufacturer intervals (30k/60k/90k km) varies more widely because the manufacturer's required work list differs significantly between brands. At 60,000 km a Toyota may need mainly fluids and filters; a BMW may require additional transmission fluid, valve cover gaskets and brake fluid. We work to the manufacturer's published service schedule for your exact vehicle, not a generic package.
All service packages are quoted as a fixed total before we start. We don't add extras mid-service without calling you. If the inspection reveals something needing attention — a cracked CV boot, a leaking strut seal — we tell you with a separate quote and you decide.
Cooling system flushes are often overlooked but matter significantly in Dubai's heat. Old coolant loses its corrosion inhibitors, allowing aluminium engine components to corrode from the inside — a process that accelerates in high-temperature environments. A coolant flush and refill with the correct specification costs AED 120–220 and should be done every 50,000 km or two years. Combined with a radiator cap and thermostat check, this service protects components that are expensive to replace once damaged.
Brake fluid replacement is included in major service intervals but often skipped in basic services. Brake fluid is hygroscopic — it absorbs moisture from the air — and its boiling point drops as moisture content increases. In Dubai, where brakes are used in stop-and-go traffic in high ambient temperatures, the moisture ingress is faster than in cooler climates. Fresh brake fluid costs AED 120–200 for a full system flush and is one of the more impactful safety services per dirham spent. We include a brake fluid condition test using a refractometer in every full service and flag it if moisture content is above the safe threshold — so you always know the actual state of this critical fluid.
What Dubai Drivers Get Wrong About Car Servicing
Modern cars have service interval indicators that calculate remaining oil life based on driving style and conditions. In Dubai's heat and stop-and-go traffic, these indicators often underestimate degradation compared to highway driving in Europe. More importantly, the service light only tracks oil life — it doesn't alert you to a developing coolant leak, a cracked CV boot, or worn brake pads that still have 2mm left. A proper service interval includes a physical inspection that catches these items before they become expensive failures.
This is legally incorrect in the UAE and most jurisdictions. Under consumer protection principles, a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because service was performed by a qualified independent garage rather than a dealer, provided the service was carried out to manufacturer specification using equivalent quality parts. What matters is that the work is documented, the correct oil specification is used, and OEM-grade parts are fitted. FixHive provides stamped service records for all work performed.
Fully synthetic oil does have a longer service life than conventional oil under ideal conditions. But in Dubai's heat, with frequent short trips, dusty air and high idle time, the contamination rate of the oil is higher than the degradation rate. Even the best synthetic oil picks up combustion byproducts, metal particles and moisture from short cold-start trips — none of which are reversed by oil quality alone. Follow the manufacturer's kilometre interval rather than extending significantly beyond it based on oil type.
